Filter Cleaning Service

Your filter needs to be periodically taken down, inspected, and cleaned. How often this should be done depends on several factors, such as you pool size, filter size, filter type, and bather and contaminant loads. Most manufacturers recommend a complete filter tear down and cleaning at least twice a year. We at SunCastle Pools can come to your home once a year, every six months, or as often as needed.

Summerization

Basic summerization consists of the following services:

  • Reinstallation of ladder, diving board, pump and/or motor, baskets, gauges, and fittings
  • Lubrication of required moving parts
  • Inspection of all exposed parts
  • System start-up, including balancing chemicals (Chemical cost not included in summerizing charge.)
  • Initial vacuuming
  • Washing of coping and/or tile

If your pool is heavily stained or filled with a large amount of solid debris, we suggest a pressure wash of the pool interior. This includes:

  • Pool draining
  • Debris removal
  • Pressure washing of the interior, coping, tile, and skimmers
  • Hosing of the surrounding pool deck

We can also summerize additional equipment, such as heaters, chlorinators, pool covers, etc. These are charged on an itemized basis.

Winterization

Basic winterization consists of the following services:

  • Removal of ladder, diving board, pump and/or motor, baskets, gauges, and fittings
  • Draining and plugging all necessary lines
  • Draining of filter tank
  • System shut-down, including adding winter chemicals (Chemical cost not included in winterizing charge.)
  • Draining of pool to proper level

We can also winterize additional equipment, such as heaters, chlorinators, pool covers, etc. These are charged on an itemized basis. We highly suggest a closing vacuum together with proper winterizing chemicals to prevent staining and algae buildup. A good winterization will eliminate the need for a more expensive pressure washing at the beginning of the next season.

Plaster/Tile Maintenance Services
New Plaster Start-Up

Have you recently invested thousands of dollars on new plaster, pebble tech, or fiberglass coatings? You may not know this, but it is imperative that you have the "start-up" process followed up by professionals. The reason? Pool professionals know water chemistry and the process of balancing your water. They also know that it will take two weeks after plastering before the plaster has the opportunity to cure. Improper start-up can cause staining and even void your builder's warranty! Be sure not to waste your hard-earned investment. Let SunCastle Pools handle the start up process.

Acid Washing

Typically, every 5 to 7 years a pool should be drained and acid washed. An acid wash is the purposeful stripping of a tiny layer of plaster, exposing fresh plaster beneath. It will generally remove superficial stains, fine scale deposits, and various colored deposits. The process usually restores 75% to 85% of the plaster's brightness. An acid wash will not remove heavy deposits or stains that have penetrated through many layers of plaster. As a rule, acid washing a pool should be done only by a licensed professional.

Chlorine Washing

For pools with a severe algae growth or black algae problem, an acid wash will help, but more then likely it will not be enough. To fix the problem, a chlorine wash or a combination of chlorine wash and acid wash may be required.

Pool Tile Repair Services

If you have missing or loose tiles, our on- staff expert tile layer will handle the problem.

Equipment-Related Services
Salt Systems (Maintenance and Conversions)

Although many pool companies do not service swimming pools or spas that have been converted to salt chlorination systems, SunCastle Pools would be happy to service your salt chlorination system. Contrary to popular belief, salt chlorinated pools do not operate themselves. They require salt cell cleaning, constant adjustment of Ph and alkalinity, and a high level of monitoring. If you are interested in having your salt chlorination system serviced or if you are planning on converting to a salt water chlorination system, give us a call.

Automation (Installation, Troubleshooting, and Repair)

Do you have an older pool and are tired of walking barefoot in the dark to turn on your pool pump or spa heater? We can upgrade your system so that everything is automated. Think about how convenient it will be when you can adjust the level of salt chlorination output in your swimming pool, regulate the desired water temperature and fine-tune the pool and outdoor landscape lighting at just a touch of a button. If your wireless pool operating system has stopped working, lost its program, or is malfunctioning, the experts at SunCastle can help troubleshoot the problem.

Equipment Troubleshooting and Repairs

Has your equipment stopped working or is it possibly malfunctioning? Our experts can troubleshoot and repair any pool related equipment or problem you might encounter. Call us today to schedule a free evaluation of your pool or spa.
